1. Red

Red  is an emotion. It is the feeling that spreads throughout every inch of your body when you become angry, and what warms your cheeks when you become embarrassed. It’s that feeling that feeling of excitement or energy when you are about to cross the finishing line of a marathon. Red is that sensation  of  your heart pounding when you are close to that person you love, it is the color of the roses you give your wife on valentines day It is what flows through your veins allowing you to wake each morning with a desire to live life. It is what reaches your brain when you try to remember things that you never want to forget. Red is feeling of heat and warmth that you get when you engulf those flames of the fireplace on a cold winter night or the sensation of biting into spicy food that makes your taste buds cringe and your eyes water. Red is that feeling when get when you step outside and the rays of the sun hit upon your body warming you and your senses or the sharp pain that makes you jolt  when you  accidentally come across a hot stove while cooking, or of the iron while ironing clothes. Red is the warmth your body experiences when you devour that cup of cider on chilly autumn afternoon, or of hot chocolate on a cold December night. The color of the juice that runs down your chin while biting into the skin of that delectable cherry, juicy strawberry, or biter tomato, each  fruit different in flavor, but alike in color. Red is so intense like a raging and blazing fire in the middle of an infinite darkness.Red is dangerous but pleasurable and it lives as long as you live.

2. Competition within Society.

This cartoon exemplifies competition within the
Marketing Business

Competition is used extensively in our society, at times, we even compete without being aware of it in our daily life's. Such instances are; when a test is taken during school, we discretely compare our results with each other’s or if someone in the same work field as yourself, receives a raise  or is given a higher position, as human nature,  one strives to become superior and achieve the same results.  Furthermore, competition is present within society in marketing, if there was no competition there would be no variety for the consumer to choose from. This competition is present in companies today such as phone, cable, petroleum, and groceries markets that strive to provide the better prices for their own personal monetary benefits. In addition to this idea, variety is necessary to be able to choose the best priced item based on your needs. The "healthy" kind of competition is within the academic life, were if someone accomplishes an assignment or test in a more excellent manner than yourself, then exerting oneself to exceed those results would be beneficial for yourself as it will improve your intellectual skills. The "unhealthy" kind of competition would be one that is seen in society regarding supremacy of factors that are not essential in this life such as infant beauty pageants, as seen in the show, "Toddlers in Tiara's" that shows girls ages 0 through 10 striving to "out-beauty" each other , and other endeavors that is based on an outside imposed standard, these kind of competition can arrive to a conclusion of harming the mentality of many because of failing to perform as well as some peers on some arbitrary scale of performance. Lastly, competition can have both a positive and negative affect in society, it depends in the manner in which it is utilized and what purpose it tries to convey.
This shows the "unhealthy" type of competition, condeming  a young

3. Social Skills !

An ability I have learned in school and integrated into my lifestyle are the social skills that are present during an Academic life. This skill has  facilitated my  interaction and communication with others without being an apprehensive person, and allowed me to out stand in any social situation I have encountered. Applying this skill into my non-academic life has had numerous benefits for myself; it has allowed to gain both personal and social relationships and  work well with groups, and empathize with others, also, it  has enabled me establish Communication Skills that are essential when dealing with Acquaintances because, being able to convey one's thoughts and ideas maybe the single most important skill in a social life. Furthermore, perhaps the largest accomplishment I have acquired from this skill learned in school has been my first job. During a job interview, social skills are essential to demonstrate your employer that you possess the ability to treat people in positive matter, besides, Most organizations are looking for individuals with a particular, tactical, skill set and the ability to influence people to get things done. Continually, most worthwhile jobs have a people component and the most lucrative positions often involve a large amount of time spent interacting with employees, media, colleagues, etc.  It's a rare individual who can isolate himself in his office and still excel in his or her job. Therefore, this social skill that I have learned in my academic life has allowed me to excel in my non-academic life and  I plan to integrate them into my future career.

4. The Progressive Era: The Great Age of Reform.

This depicts a New York city street during the Progressive Era

A Women's Trade Union league Strike
The Wright Brothers with the First Plane in the U.S
If I had the ability to return back in time, I would return back during the Progressive Era in the United States in the years of  where social activism and political reform flourished in order to have first person experience of the magnificent developing that this country underwent during this time period. During this era, people underwent abominable working conditions in factories and began to establish labor unions in order to resolve jurisdictional disputes, and created citywide coalitions that helped coordinate strikes in order to improve the state of being of workers. I would have praised being during this time in order to be part of the reform that occurred by these labor unions, for the reason that standing up for the beliefs that are of my concern is a major part of my values and this experience would have exemplified the trait that relies withing me. Also, I would have cherished these moments in history because amid these years, many technological advancements  were present, visualize  viewing the first airplane being flown by the wright brothers, or being able to ride the first automobiles created by Henry Ford, it would have been a great honor to be in such occurrences. Also, during this time, I would have had the ability to view business grow with the use of marketing factions such as horizontal and vertical integration or monopolies that laid the foundation of the corporate world we have today acquiring knowledge of the reasons why such Businesses use these methods. Furthermore, this era in history depicted the growth in women's power in items such as  world peace, good government, and local support for education and public health, women voted  and operated quietly and effectively. It would have been daunting to view the process of evolution that shape the women  present in America today. Lastly, being present in the progressive era would enable me to see the growth of urbanization and cities in the U.S and growth of, major cities such as New York and Chicago, including its skyscrapers, streets and bridges.  Lastly, having the ability to contemplate this era in the history of with its numeours reforms and advancements, would have allowed me to see the progression of the  contemporary United States.

5. Hunger and undernourishment in developing countries.

This are the horrid images of truth of what many people in developing countries suffer from.

I would donate $1 million dollars to the people suffering of hunger in developing countries. According to the latest Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) statistics, there are 925 million hungry people in the world and 98 percent of them are in developing countries, There is enough food available to feed the entire global population of 7 billion people. And yet, one in nearly seven people is going hungry. In my opinion, hunger is an intolerable feeling that when it is constant is like the people in developing countries undergo , it is an equivalent to suffering, one that misses a meal feels weak  and deprived of energy, imagine those that pass days, even weeks without any nourishment, the reason is that the body responds to the lack of energy  supplied by food by slowing down its physical and mental activities. In addition, a person that is hungry cannot concentrate their minds, a hungry body does not take initiative, a hungry child loses all desire to play and study. Furthermore, malnutrition weakens the immune system making even common disease such as measles and diarrhea deadly. Today, almost one person in six does not get enough food to be healthy and lead an active life, making hunger and malnutrition the number one risk to health worldwide. This is a very serious subject that many are aware of, but do not take any initiative resolve this issue especially when food is wasted, not contributing to the cause in any matter. The one million dollars donated would help fund project that would supply clean water and food packed with nutrition to those families in need ,also, it would assist farmers that lose their crops due to floods, tropical storms and long periods of drought  that cause calamities and consequently affect food security by providing more food to them and their shortage of supplies. These actions filled with ambition, will relief those with a deficiency in food and ameliorate their state of being .
This video exemplifies the what children undergo when they undergo undernourishment in developing countries

6. Immigration

The immigration march I participated in San Diego in April 9, 2007

An issue that has been of concern to my family and I for quite some time has been the controversy over immigration. This issue of amnesty for illegal aliens of other countries has distinct opinions over its subject, some state that immigrants should be allowed to cross over to our country and pursue the "American Dream", while others argue that all immigrants are a bad image for this nation and arrive here to do bad deeds and take the jobs of other United States citizens. However, I support the argument of allowing amnesty to those who come to this nation to provide an ameliorated life for themselves and their families for the reason that I have family that undergo this situation and I see the struggle they put upon themselves and how much better their life's would be if they had the convenience to begin a new life in this country that is considered a land of opportunities. A way that I have supported this cause would be by participating alongside my family in  a completely peaceful march that support the enforcement of an amnesty law in order to benefit immigrants in search of a better life, this march consisted of thousands of other people with the same beliefs as us and being in it made me feel powerful beyond any matter, proving to me that if you stand up for the beliefs you possess, then it can make an impact within your community. This experince has taught me that you should strive to accomplish the beliefs that you have regardless what others may counter-argue shaping me to become a better person.

7. The Internet in a primitive country.

To a  primitive country, I would introduce the concept of the internet, as it is a magnificent force that shapes various aspects of the world, becoming more and more dependent on it as each day goes by. In primitive country, the internet would speed up the spread of news and and facilitate the way in which it is received. In various websites, international news is updated automatically as it occurs in headlines that appear as soon as you click on the page, therefore providing a simpler and innovative way to acquire news for those lacking a proper system of revelation of information . In addition, another quality that the internet provides is a way that people can have a voice in their country and express the circumstances that they have a concern for and convey their thoughts and opinions without any barriers of any sort. Following this further,, there is plenty of websites that allow one to research their interests and beliefs and find others that support the same thoughts and have the ability to create a powerful alliance in order to make a statement of change. Moreover, what the internet is known for the most is for the vast amount of information that rely within it, and the attainability to research any subject and find information that is relevant to it, this is very helpful to a primitive country. Also, the internet provides many benefits to a primitive country both economically and educationally, as a job can be done straight from a computer device and an education can be attained form the internet as well, this would be very helpful to those who have certain disabilities that prohibitive them form leaving their home. Finally, the internet would definitively  ameliorate a primitive country and enable it to the many advantages of the world  wide web.

8. A Kind ♥.

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.- Mark Twain

Kindess is an international word, it provides the same same meaning in every language and religion regardless of the circumstances. A kind person is one of warm-hearted nature, that shows sympathy and is considerate of the humane necessities of society. In appliance to my life style, this quote could be utilized to describe me as a person for the reason being that I enjoy helping people, and cannot stand the unjust treatment of others. I always strive to help others in any manner that I possibly can because in a time of need, everyone appreciates a kind person to make a difference in their life. Wether it be by  helping out by just a simple task, many see you as a kind person because  the need of others has an emphasis on your life and helping is a matter if importance to yourself. Furthermore, when people treat others in an unjust way, it creates a deep sentiment in me and exemplifies the traits of kindness that rely withing myself. This sentiment arose from my younger years when being bullied was a daily part of my life and a person with a kind heart that would have provided the time to defend me , would have indeed made a difference in my life. If I ever happen to see someone being badgered, I do not mind stepping in and defend that person because nobody possesses the right to belittle anyone regardless of the circumstances. For these reasons, kindness is an accurate word that shapes me as a person and displays the values that rely withing me.
